Just looking up in a theatre before rehearsing in Shenzhen, China, X100F
Looking up into a Shenzhen theatre before rehearsals — the X100F pointing upward at the rigging, the lights, the architecture of performance. Backstage spaces in available light are a challenge: functional illumination that is unflattering in colour but stripped to tone, the cables and battens and the bodies waiting below become a genuine composition. Berthed at Nauticus, the Battleship Wisconsin is one of the largest and last battleships ever built by the U.S. Navy. USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is an Iowa-class battleship built for the United States Navy in the 1940s and is currently a museum ship. Completed in 1944, the ship was assigned to the Pacific Theater during World War II, where she participated in the Philippines campaign and the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
