It is just the back of an old brick building with storefronts on the first level. But when I saw it, with its second-story door and fire escape-like stairs, it brought back thoughts of old newspaper classified ads. I can just visualize the ad for this place: “APT – 2nd Flr Rear, with AC and pvt entry. $45/mo. Call SH 6-1234″
