Boneyard Beach is a photographer’s paradise, it’s an unusual stretch of coastline along the Nassau Sound in Big Talbot Island State Park just northeast of Jacksonville, Florida. Famous for its 30-foot bluffs and massive, bleached skeleton driftwood trees scattered across the sand.

This little shed was the post office for the small hamlet of Bagdad, Florida from 1913 to 1985. My brother and his wife lived in Bagdad in the mid-1950s when he was in flight training with the U.S. Navy. After taking this photo I sent it to my brother but, alas, his health did not allow him to remember the tiny post office.

Taken at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida.
