Just looking at this image gives me chills. An icy cliff face at Gooseberry Falls State Park on a typical northern Minnesota winter day. Temps in the mid-teens, wind gusts around 30mph, waves crashing on the rocks and snow blowing off the cliff.
I captured this stately old juniper in the Mangum Desert exhibit at the North Carolina Zoo, in Asheboro.
