Heading onto the beach at Bamburgh with the X100F — a photograph of movement and direction rather than a formal portrait. Beach light in Northumberland is wide and even; shooting into the light at this angle silhouettes the figure against the sand and sea, and monochrome holds the tonal range from the bright sky to the foreground shadow without compromise. It’s looking like November is going to be about images captured at Navy Pier in Chicago. I guess that shows just how much potential material was available while visiting there.

Nikon FM, Kodak Tri-X 400 film, developed with Cinestill DF96 and imported into Lightroom via Fujifilm GFX 100s using a Venus Optics Loawa 100mm 2X macro lens.
