This is the interior of St. Paul’s Chapel a church built in 1766. It is the only colonial era church still standing in Manhattan. St. Paul’s Chapel is located in lower Manhattan directly across the street from where the Twin Towers once stood and was left unscathed after the horrific September 11th terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.

The overgrown vegetation and patina on metal are both evidence of Mother Nature’s slow but persistent reclamation of the natural and man-made world.  Our sense of order is often at odds with Hers. Will we regain our lost ability to live harmoniously before it’s too late?
