This is Erik my great nephew and he is already enjoying his iPad at his young age. Erik is older now but I took this image about eight years ago when I was experimenting with different mirrorless camera brands to replace my heavier Nikon gear. Shortly after I settled on the Fujifilm brand because I loved the jpeg images straight out of the camera and the outstanding high ISO performance. Taken with a Fujifilm X-E1 camera and XF 35mm f/1.4 lens, ambient window light.

My husband and I were in the real estate business for many years. We had rental properties and renovated and sold others. I took this photo while on a tour of a place that was for sale.
Abandonment is what first drew me back to photography. While I enjoy exploring many genres, my eye is always drawn to the ironic beauty found in decay and neglect. See my “This Ole House” gallery for more examples of my work exploring abandoned homes.
