Monochromia

Under the Desert Sun

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

I had planned to post this image while I was in Colombia, however, I was having issues with the internet while there. So, two weeks later, here it is.

Taken on a trip up Mount Lemmon outside of Tucson, Az. with my Fujifilm GFX 100S

More of my photography can be found on my website and my blog.

Up and close

Getting up and close to scooter, Shenzhen, China, X100F

Close focus with the X100F in Shenzhen — getting inside the normal comfort zone to let the geometry of the scooter dominate the frame. The X100F’s fixed 23mm equivalent allows you to work this tight while keeping enough environmental context to place the subject. Converted to monochrome to strip the urban colour noise and let form and light speak for themselves. See the full article: China — Shenzhen Day 3 on IJM Photography.

Sun Voyager Sculpture

Sun Voyager Composition 2
Sun Voyager Composition 2

The Sun Voyager steel sculpture in Reykjavík, Iceland represents an ode to the sun and serves as a symbol of hope, progress, and freedom.  I shot with a 15mm lens to provide a more dramatic view of this widely seen sculpture.

Cheers,
