Angel’s Ladies was a legal brothel just 3 miles north of Beatty Nevada, originally known as Fran’s Star Ranch (also Circle C Ranch and Vickie’s Star Ranch). In 1978 an accident during a promotional stunt on the property resulted in the crash of a twin-engined light aircraft. The wreck was left on the property ever since and used to attract customers from the road. The business was sold for the last time in 2010 for $1.8 million, and has been closed since 2014.

Lunch Break © Steven Willard
I just happened upon this scene when all the workmen had taken a lunch break. I rather fancy the pagoda-like quality of the staging, and the way the metal planking bounced light into the shadows.

… the work week has been so full that there has not been time to even think about taking a photo. While walking towards the door of the office, fretting all the while about the lack of a photo for the blog, this little guy (gal?) appeared ahead on the sidewalk.
Out comes the cellphone, one quick shot, and it’s off to see patients.
Frankly, the colors of the shell are so pretty, that I wish I could share it in color. Even still, isn’t nature amazing?
Miradorio is Portuguese and means viewpoint. Here we are … over the old town quarter Alfama of Lisboa. In the back, you can see some portions of the river Tajo.
