Thacher Island in Sea Smoke #3

Sea smoke happens at least once a year here on Cape Ann when the ocean water is warm (mid 40’s) and the air is in the minus digits. This image was made last year or the year before I’m not sure. All I remember is it was the coldest I’ve been in a while at -9 degrees F.

20190228-untitled shoot-4-EditMeet Nikolai. He has been the piper of the  Caledonian society of Norway for some time now and blows up a storm at the start of most of our meetings. I took this casual portrait at our last meeting just two days ago. A really fun guy to be around and, a great piper.
