The Singing Stones

Black And White Photography, James, Photography

This is the 5000 year old Duddo stone circle in Northumberland in England. The fluted stones make a singing noise on windy days – hence the name – ‘The Singing Stones’…

Me. Warts and all. This is what you get when you are up far too early and waiting for the day to begin. Maybe I should, light-heartedly challenge the other contributors here on Monochromia to do the same. We’ll see. At least you know why I keep myself on the other side of the camera now lol:

Hello to all, it’s good to be back on Monochromia as a main contributor. After taking some time to attend to other obligations which reduced my ability to spend as much time as I wanted enjoying photography, I’m getting out more often again. For those who haven’t seen my work, much of it is from northern Minnesota and the shore of Lake Superior. However, I do travel outside my home in Duluth and always have my cameras at the ready.

This image is from a night when I was attempting to photograph the northern lights. I found this dark location by a cemetery which became my focus while waiting for the sky to cooperate.
