When it is spring a young bird’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love. In this instance the bird is a great egret in full breeding plumage. This elegant bird’s image was captured at a breeding rookery at High Island on the Upper Texas Gulf Coast.

Sharp Haw is a small pointed hill (1171 ft.) in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are remains of a Iron Age Hill fort on the summit, and it is visible for many miles around. In Spring the path to the summit is through beautiful Moor Cotton.
