Front right entrance view from the Cathedral of Saint Mary Major in Marseille, France. It’s the only cathedral built in the 19th century and the last built in France.  Its foundations are superimposed on an old church of the 4th century.

Happy Easter!

First of all I feel very honored to be a part of this fantastic community of so talented black & white photographers as a guest contributor. My first love is street photography, which is an awesome fit for monochrome images. When roaming the streets of Nuremberg (or those of any other city) with a camera in my hand, I’m always on the lookout to capture those fleeting moments of life, the stories of the streets, or the faces of the streets. Like this image taken with an Olympus PEN-F in a coffee shop.

I’m loving photography since my Dad gave me an Olympus OM-1 analogue camera when I was 16. Now 58, I’m living in Nuremberg, Germany, the main “playground” for my street photography. My wife (aka “The Significant Other”) and I have a second home in Genoa, Italy, a place full of that special light that you find only at the sea. I picked up blogging in 2016 to share my work and as my photographic diary around street- and travel photography. Check it out and visit the “Streets of Nuremberg
