Detailed composition of the base of the 60 ft. (18.3 meters) tall Crabtree Falls, off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Earlier this month, I tent camped at the Crabtree Falls campground the night before making the strenuous 3 mile (4.8 kilometer) loop hike down to the falls and back the following day.
