Stormy Weather

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

One of the best parts of living by the inland sea of Lake Superior is the effect of wind on the lake. When the wind blows strong out of the east/northeast, you get big waves along the shore in Duluth, MN. Although the waves are exciting to watch, they can also be very destructive. The city is still repairing damage from storms that took place over five years ago.

A Perfect Bloom

Black And White Photography, Don, Photography

We were wandering through a coastal wetlands on a spring bird walk. We were looking for migrators which had stopped on the island to rest and refuel on their way north. By chance while walking along, a spot of yellow happened to catch my eye. I looked down, and tucked in the grasses was this lovely spring flower with every petal perfect. Nature at its best.
