A light column over the fjord

When we were traveling in northern Norway in February 2016, I noticed this light beam breaking through the dense clouds.

In the forest after the rain started

Andre, Black And White Photography, Photography

Here in Germany we have a saying “Steter Tropfen holen den Stein” (~ constant dripping wears away the stone), but also “der Tropfen, der das Fass zum überlaufen bringt” (~ the drop that makes the barrel overflowing).

Same is, when rain falls on the forest ground. First, the rain will be soaked. The longer the rain lasts, the more water won’t be soaked. Instead, it searches a way to escape. So, the water comes back to skylight at a tiny, but growing, spring.
