Freezing temps and icy roads have kept me from riding lately.
I sure miss the wind in my face!
“Yeah …. I’ve got  ::cling cling::  fsssss steam heat”
How many of you hummed that song as you read those words? Â Or, sadly, how many of you have never heard of that 1954 song from The Pajama Game soundtrack?

After hours of preparation, I found a few quiet moments before the event began to wander around the room shooting the scene. I kept coming back to the bar. Â The light from the window was bright on the glasses that would soon be filled with the delectable Divatini.
If you’d like to view another image from this event, this time in bright, beautiful color please visit Brighter.
Thanks for watching the sun go down with me.  I’d love to have you along for the ride so if you haven’t yet, come visit me at Life on the Bikeand Other Fab Things.
The last of the Thanksgiving guests had gone, two days of parties were over (oh my what a fabulous holiday!) and it was time to revisit the Monochromia post that I’d scheduled over 2 weeks ago. Â As I looked at it, I knew … I just wasn’t feeling it and a change had to be made.
I sat at my desk and stared out the window and pondered the situation. Â The last three day’s photography efforts were all about family and friends. Â Copious amounts of food and drink had left me contentedly sluggish. Â What to do, what to do?
So there you have it. Â The view from my chair.
I’m thankful for a holiday that celebrates gratitude … and thankful, too, for the opportunity to be a part of Monochromia.
Taken the same morning as the previous image, but the  mist is rising higher in this one, and the geese are much more visible.  I wish you could have heard all the calls they were making.
The leaves continue to fall, and then to whirl around my carport, never idle. Â Meanwhile, my much loved bike has not moved in over a week. Â My camera too, has not seen much action.
How does life get in the way of things that we love?
Each morning I walk by and feel regret … but also hope … soon I will feel the wind in my face and the camera in my hand.
