Just Not Feelin’ It

Black And White Photography, Laurie, Photography

The last of the Thanksgiving guests had gone, two days of parties were over (oh my what a fabulous holiday!) and it was time to revisit the Monochromia post that I’d scheduled over 2 weeks ago.  As I looked at it, I knew … I just wasn’t feeling it and a change had to be made.

I sat at my desk and stared out the window and pondered the situation.  The last three day’s photography efforts were all about family and friends.  Copious amounts of food and drink had left me contentedly sluggish.  What to do, what to do?

So there you have it.  The view from my chair.

I’m thankful for a holiday that celebrates gratitude … and thankful, too, for the opportunity to be a part of Monochromia.

  1. Excellent, Laurie! It might be odd of me, but I actually enjoy seeing others’ desks! I’m happy you had a great Thanksgiving 🙂
Also, I will add that Joerg’s idea for a challenge is a good one!

  2. A great sense of feeling in this post Laurie and what a great challenge idea from Jorge! Personally, I love Thanksgiving as a holiday even though we don’t do all the cooking, eating and meeting. I bought some chicken breast for the two of us the day before, went to cook them Thurs evening and discovered they were left back at the checkout . . . Doing my best to keep it just as low key for Christmas and as you say about Thanksgiving, no presents!!

    1. I’ll wish us both success with keeping Christmas about something other than presents! I’ll also hope that the chicken breasts make it home from the store next time 🙂

    1. Oh I had to chuckle over this, for certainly you are right … it does appear that way! The moose (my favorite) is a sculpture that was given to me years ago, and in front of it was a VT glass (Virginia Tech, the university with the Hokies as mascot). The desk is a bit crowded!

    1. I’m so glad you like the post. And I hope that folks get my attempt at humor … yet I really did sit there at my desk and think! Did you see Jaytee’s comment? What a challenge that would be!

  3. With this photo you honored my picture and I had the idea , that we could make a “monochromia week”, what means that in this week every contributor has to upload a photo or picture in which we can find or see the word MONOCHROMIA.
What do you and all the others think.
