Fair Winds and Following Seas

My father died this week at 91 years of age.  It’s been a rough few years, so it is with mixed emotions that I share this news.

What a guy he was! Even with health challenges, he typically greeted everyone with a smile and remembered the name of every friend and caregiver.  He had served in the US Navy for 30 years (and was also a Penn State Grad), and if you’d like, you can read about his life and career in this short obituary.

He will be dearly missed by so very many, including my mother Cindy, his wife of 67 years, my sisters Liz and Suzanne, and his 7 grandchildren (with his first great grandchild due to be born in 8 days!).

The New York State Capitol has served as the seat of government for New York since the 1880s. The building is a marvel of late 19th-century architectural grandeur. Under the direction of five architects, the Capitol was built by hand of solid masonry over a period of 32 years. By 1899 its cost had exceeded twenty-five million dollars.
