I love the way this shot, turned out. It’s originally a color photo but I think this black and white conversion works almost as well.
This photo has an extremely unbalanced composition, but I really feel like it works – at least for me. I usually find myself drawn to the symmetry and regular shapes. This is another departure for me – I find that when I look at this photograph I find myself focusing on the black, and imagining all kinds of dramatic scenes taking place in the shadows, just out of view.
Bah, who am I kidding, everything I’m imaging here would look better in a Mel Brooks movie.
We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.  We also hope you enjoyed our eight days of “Best Of Monochromia” posts.  It gave all of us a chance to take a break and recharge our batteries (literally and figuratively).  We will return to our regular posting schedule tomorrow 🙂
