This is a driveby shot. She looked so cute with her mother’s umbrella I couldn’t resist taking the shot.

The Pompeii Civil Forum was the core of daily life of the city and was the focal point of all the main public buildings for city administration and justice, business management, and trade activities such as markets. It also was the main places of citizen worship, a once-sophisticated Roman city.
It occupied quite a large area measuring 157 x 38 meters with a fine view of Mount Vesuvius – the ultimate source of the city’s destruction in 79 AD.

I finally purchased that macro lens 😊

Before heading back to the mountains of Southwest Virginia, I took a short walk on the Virginia Capital Trail. The Cap Trail is a 51.7 multi-use, fully-paved trail that runs from the City of Richmond, Virginia to James City County, near Williamsburg, Virginina. The goal is to add a 7 mile connector to the restored area of Colonial Williamsburg, as well as the College of William and Mary.
Part of the trail runs through a suburban wetland. Please follow the link for more information about the importance of preserving these spaces.

I was going back to catch a train home after a fun day in the City when it started raining unexpectedly. I spotted these two trying to get a cab. I Love New York
