Moore Cove Falls is a 50ft (15.25m) waterfall in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, North Carolina. The falls flow over an overhanging bluff that allows visitors to walk behind the falls. During my visit in mid-October, Moore Creek had dried to just more than a trickle. Nonetheless, the view was still quite beautiful.

Detailed composition of the base of the 60 ft. (18.3 meters) tall Crabtree Falls, off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. My intent was to use my Mavic 3 drone to capture colorful spring buds in the old growth forest on High Point Lake, near the Piedmont Environmental Center. The buds were not quite far enough along for a color photo. Instead, monochrome made for a much more interesting composition of the fractal branching of hardwood trees.
