Yeah, there was a New York meetup this past weekend which I could not attend. That didn’t stop some 15 or 20 contributors to Monochromia. They all met in New York City and drank themselves silly. Some even took photos. Well, not to be outdone, and in the spirit of the meetup, I ventured out to the Las Vegas Strip to the New York New York casino, took some pictures, and had a beer.
Here you go, guys and gals. Bet you can’t tell this is not really New York City. Especially if you’re still hung over!

Philipsburg Manor was an English Manor located in Sleepy Hollow, NY that lasted from 1693 to 1779 and pictured here is the still working gristmill that is still open to the public where one can learn how the mill was run along with history on how the manor was created by Royal Charter and what is known of the 20 odd African slaves that worked the property
Nothing says home like a hot dog. A Nathan’s hot dog. I swear, even though I’m a vegetarian I might take a bite of one if I was back there. I never made it to Coney Island when growing up but there was a Nathan’s on Long Beach Road that we would go to every once in awhile. A huge cavernous building which was never very crowded, as I remember.
