While eating my lunch the other day I got mugged by a flock of sparrows looking for crumbs. I think this little guy was the ring leader.

I photographed this beauty at the annual birding festival on Galveston Island along the Gulf of Mexico. This Yellow-crowned Night Heron flew over and perched in a tree right in front of us. See the twig in its beak. It is breeding season and nests need maintenance.

These two Royal Terns were strolling along the beach together. They were in perfect step-for-step unison, black crowns swept back, beaks held high. Lookin’ good!
It was a fun photo, and I think all the more so finished in high key.
