Berthed at Nauticus, the Battleship Wisconsin is one of the largest and last battleships ever built by the U.S. Navy. USS Wisconsin (BB-64) is an Iowa-class battleship built for the United States Navy in the 1940s and is currently a museum ship. Completed in 1944, the ship was assigned to the Pacific Theater during World War II, where she participated in the Philippines campaign and the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

I came home to find the this beauty, the first daffodil in my yard that had bloomed, face down in the dirt A survivor of the storm, it’s beauty graces my home,

The days are full of work and parental care (for the remaining parent). Someday I’ll get back to shooting!

Despite the sub-freezing temps, these daffodils are coming up to see the sun!

My father died this week at 91 years of age. It’s been a rough few years, so it is with mixed emotions that I share this news.
What a guy he was! Even with health challenges, he typically greeted everyone with a smile and remembered the name of every friend and caregiver. He had served in the US Navy for 30 years (and was also a Penn State Grad), and if you’d like, you can read about his life and career in this short obituary.
He will be dearly missed by so very many, including my mother Cindy, his wife of 67 years, my sisters Liz and Suzanne, and his 7 grandchildren (with his first great grandchild due to be born in 8 days!).
This happy fella lives in Vista Gardens at Anakeesta Amusement Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
