Also known as iconostases Kandylakia are the Greek version of a wayside shrine. They are found all over Greece, typically on the curve of a mountainous road. They are erected to memorialize the spot where someone was killed or as an offering at the place where someone was miraculously saved.

Rio–Antirrio Bridge, officially the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge, which crosses the Gulf of Corinth, is one of the world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridges and longest of the fully suspended type.

 

Bridge Day 2023

Bridge Day is West Virginia’s largest single-day festival! Every third Saturday in October, thousands of people gather on the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, West Virginia to watch daredevils BASE jump 846 ft into the Gorge below.
