This unique old barn was found on the back roads of Watauga County near Sweetwater, North Carolina. The stone foundation supports one side of the barn’s placement on the edge of a hill. The vine consuming the façade appeared to have died, leaving a thick, craggily branching structure attached to the barn. Back in 2015 I found this gem on the backroads of Forsyth County, near Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I must have gotten busy and never got around to reviewing and processing. By accident, I came across it again a few weeks ago. I’m sure there are other forgotten treasures in my catalog. If only I had more time for treasure hunting!
