The pedestrian walkway was almost deserted after the Atlanta Braves – San Diego Padres ballgame 2 wks ago. How cool to walk from our hotel, over a 10 lane highway, and to the ball park. Easy Peasy!

I’ve been spending alot of time with retired military vets while visiting my parents. Hearing these guys talk about the challenges of aging and caring for aging loved ones was sobering. They were also full of gratitude and that was inspiring.

These daffodils have been confused by the weather. Temperatures far too warm caused them to bloom too soon. Then they were beaten down by the rain, buffeted by the wind, and chilled by the snow, yet still they brought beauty to our home.

The El Dorado is a cooperative apartment building at 300 Central Park West between 90th and 91st Streets adjacent to Central Park on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, NYC. It was constructed from 1929 to 1931 and was designed by Margon & Holder and consulting architect Emery Roth in the Art Deco style. The El Dorado is 30 stories tall, with twin towers rising from a 19-story base. The building is a contributing property to the Central Park West Historic District, is listed on National Register of Historic Places, and is a New Yrk City designated Landmark.

I am out of town, helping to care for my father who has been in hospital. This image was taken of me by a friend a few weeks ago. Even thought it is not my work, I thought I’d share it since I’ve not been able to do any shooting. I mean, how often does the photographer get photographed?
