About 50 miles west of St Louis, Missouri is Robertsville State Park. Near the high-power lines that cut through the park, there is a foot path that leads to the small Roberts family cemetery, an old, fenced-in, private cemetery in the midst of a public park. Here we are looking past an ornate corner post of the fenced plot to an aged and damaged headstone.

This pastural landscape was captured in rural Ashe County, near Apple Grove. The pasture is surrounded by numerous Christmas tree farms.

Bridge Day is West Virginia’s largest single-day festival! Every third Saturday in October, thousands of people gather on the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, West Virginia to watch daredevils BASE jump 846 ft into the Gorge below.
