My wife flew to Beijing (the one in China) last weekend. Her flight left at 5 am on Sunday morning so I dropped her at the airport at 3 am and then, since I was already awake and in the car, I drove to Kingman (the one in Arizona) and then to points even further east on Route 66.

I’ll admit that this is an old fav. I took it in 2006 at a Viking market. These two were entertaining the kids.I just love the action in this shot. Just goes to show don’t mess with a Troll :0)

I shot it using a Canon S3 IS.

Looking around near where I live I often stumble across places where there is evidence of different eras. This drain, or culvert, was clearly constructed well before the road that passes over it was paved. No contractor today would use such materials; much too costly.

Olympus Omd EM5 with 20mm f1.7 lens, converted to B&W in Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.

This image was taken in Times Square, New York.  There was some sort of bicycle brigade going on and this group leader kindly stopped these cyclists to let this man cross the street with his young daughter.
