Yes, I had plenty of other images that I could have shared, but as I was standing at the window during a recent meeting, I decided to take the shot. Certainly not the most interesting, nor the most skillful, but I kinda like it.

This was shot from the roof of an apartment building in Johannesburg, shortly after sunset. The high-contrast, textured shadows created by a nearby street-light caught my eye, leading to a low-key black and white image. I added the clean diagonal line in the top left (actually the trail from a car’s headlights) as a juxtaposition against the gritty shadows.
