The New York State Capitol has served as the seat of government for New York since the 1880s. The building is a marvel of late 19th-century architectural grandeur. Under the direction of five architects, the Capitol was built by hand of solid masonry over a period of 32 years. By 1899 its cost had exceeded twenty-five million dollars.

Tunney Hunsaker Bridge

Also known as the Fayette Station Bridge, the Tunney Husaker is an historic truss bridge over the New River in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The bridge is name after Tunney Hunsaker, American boxer and former chief-of-police in nearby Fayetteville, WVA. Construction of the bridge was completed in 1889, and then rehabilitated and re-opened in 1997.
