I’m taking a Mindfulness in Photography class at my local community art school. The discipline is about “seeing’ first, before the brain jumps to conceptualizing, comparing past experience, and any number of internal or external distractions. How often had I missed seeing the beauty of the morning light falling over the dew collecting on an iris leaf in my koi pond?
Cheers,
C. S.
This antique cultipacker was likely attached to the back of a seed drill, and pulled through rural Guilford County, North Carolina crop fields. After the seed is inserted into freshly plowed fields, the cultipacker immediately firms up the soil and creates rows to help retain water.
See additional antique farm equipment and structures in my Abandoned Architecture gallery.
Cheers!

Working a few days a week in Uptown Charlotte, I’ll often carry my camera to capture street, architectural, or urban cityscape photos to and from my work office. This past week, I was in the right place at the right time to capture these two workers cleaning the windows of the Charlotte Plaza Building. Or are they really just cleaning the sky?
