The pedestrian walkway was almost deserted after the Atlanta Braves – San Diego Padres ballgame 2 wks ago. How cool to walk from our hotel, over a 10 lane highway, and to the ball park. Easy Peasy!

I’ve been spending alot of time with retired military vets while visiting my parents. Hearing these guys talk about the challenges of aging and caring for aging loved ones was sobering. They were also full of gratitude and that was inspiring.
Skycraper, that is …
Built in 1910, “the seven stories were initially made possible by the invention of the electric elevator and improvements in fireproofing”
Nowhere that I could tell ~ because of course, I walked up there 🙂
The Liberty Trust Hotel was originally erected to house First National Bank, the first financial institution to be founded in Roanoke, Virginia. Built in 1910, The French Renaissance architectural influence of the main entrance and the Beaux Arts design of the main banking hall made it a signature structure of modern, multi-story design and innovation.
This image is of a back staircase. Still beautiful in my opinion.

These daffodils have been confused by the weather. Temperatures far too warm caused them to bloom too soon. Then they were beaten down by the rain, buffeted by the wind, and chilled by the snow, yet still they brought beauty to our home.
Not much time to shoot this week as I’ve been totally caught up in NCAA Basketball! My ACC Team is the Virginia Tech Hokies, and while the men went out on Wednesday night, the Women won the ACC Tournament! Pretty exciting actually. The Men won in 2022 and the Women in 2023.
Go Hokies!!!
Just FYI – my “other” team is from the WCC – The Gonzaga Bulldogs. I’m pretty sure that I was the only one in that Coliseum with Gonzaga earrings on 🙂
