Once again I travel back in time as I await the final piece to my new computer. (which I was informed today was on its way) I discovered this gem from a cruise I was on in late 2004. A simple moment shared between generations, with an ice cream cone and a view out the window of the ship.

An image captured as she was taking break between shots. Although we only worked together once, I admired her willingness to endure the cold autumn water temperatures of Lake Superior while posing nude. Some very beautiful images were created that afternoon.

Duluth, in Minnesota, is a working harbor. Ships not only come from various parts of the Great Lakes, but also Europe. One of the chief exports from the port is grain and there are several grain collection and storage sites that line the harbor. After awhile, one can begin to spot the difference between the “lakers” and the “salties”. Wherever they are coming from, I never tire of seeing the large ships traverse the canal and pass under the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge, nor do I tire of the sound of the ship’s horns as the arrive and depart and the response from the bridge.

While searching some older images for an upcoming project, I came across this shot from several years ago. It seems appropriate at this time to question so much of what we see, read and hear. The danger sign, for me anyway, fits also. So much happening, the country highly charged, there is danger in many places. Yes, we must question everything and seek the truth of what we see, read and hear.

After my last post “Looking Down” crop circles were mentioned. As a matter of fact, I did see some. And, I may have found Pac Man.

Flying always presents a new perspective on the landscape of our world. Flying over patterned farm fields shows that even farming has it’s artistic side.
