A Barbarian Woman carries her slain Son from the Battlefield

Black And White Photography, David, Photography

This was sculpted in 1889 by Norwegian artist Stephan Sinding. Given the way the world is at present this could almost be a scene today. Enough said.

Have a peaceful weekend dear reader.

Black And White Photography, David, iPhoneography, Photography

My wife and I have just got back from an 80km cycle trip on gravel roads and tracks through the mountains here in Norway It’s called the Navvies road or Rallarvegen. Here’s one I converted to Monochrome in and from my iPhone.

The Scream

Black And White Photography, David, Photography

If you stand around Edvard Munch’s painting of the Scream for more than a few minutes you will see endless tourists do this in front of it. This Japanese guy was playing to the crowd. Watched by nervous security guards and… me.

At the Exhibition

Black And White Photography, David, Photography

One of my favourite places to take pictures (Not the ones on the wall I hasten to add) are art galleries people stand for ages and stare, and think. I do too. However I do find the people more fascinating than the paintings at times.
