I left the house on Thursday thinking “oh my goodness, I need to schedule a photo for Monochromia”. This thought was quickly followed by “when am I going to be able to find time to do some shooting?”
Then I got to my office, jumped out of the truck, and saw this guy walking on the sidewalk in front of the door to my office. Aren’t the patterns wonderful? If you’d like to see the colors, visit my personal blog space and see the Instagram photo that I shared.
Aren’t turtles awesome?
Memorial Day in the US
Black And White Photography, Laurie, Mobile PhotographyMemorial Day in the United States, always on the last Monday in May, is a day to honor and remember those who died serving in war. Sometimes Americans forget this and say “Happy Memorial Day”. Others confuse it for Veterans Day.
We must remember those who died on the battlefield, and remember the suffering of their families.
This image was taken at Radford’s Annual Memorial Day Program.
2018 was our 20th annual program.
TJ and the Galaxy 9
Black And White Photography, Laurie, Mobile Photography, PhotographyWhile visiting the University of Virginia’s College at Wise (UVA-Wise), I was caught without my camera. I did however have my new Galaxy 9 and without knowing anything about the phone or it’s camera settings, snapped this image of a sculpture of Thomas Jefferson.
