This one was a grab shot. Taken while I had my cell phone out of my pocket walking down a side street in Xiamen. Lots of stories here. I didn’t pay much attention to this shot until I saw it on my screen at home. It’s nice in colour too. However I think the colours steal the storytelling element somewhat.
I’ll leave that for you to decide dear reader.

After the three legs of my journey were behind me I arrived jet-lagged in Xiamen in China. I decided as this one afternoon was more or less what I would have to sight see. I took a walk in the rain around a local lake. I was scouting a route for a run in the morning before work began.
What got me was the heat even though it was raining, 30+,it was like taking a walk in a lukewarm shower. I stood under some trees to take this shot of the hotel I was staying at (The low white building in the middle)the branches provided cover and a nice frame for this shot.
Sony RX100 mkII
A little while ago I had a business trip to China. Because of the tightly packed schedule I only took my iPhone X and my wifes’ Sony RX100 Mk2. I will share some of the shots I managed to take in the next few weeks. Starting at the beginning. This was taken on one of the many flights I took, while there. Books sure look different there.

I think I saved the best until last. Tore in his workshop. A real nice guy with a fun loving disposition. He said “If you’re going to take a picture I’ll have to look serious”.
I printed this shot, as I have the others in this series and given them as a thank-you getting in front of my lens.
