For those in need of a quiet place to savor a bit of peace in a challenging world. This small church is nestled in the trees away from the busyness of urban living.

Another subject I’ve driven by many times and finally stopped to photograph. This is one of the reasons I love escaping the freeway and wandering down two lane backroads, you just never know what’s hiding on an abandoned property.

For several years I’ve been driving past this old shed and on this snowy October day finally stopped and photographed it. As I waded through the knee deep snow I chastised myself for not doing this before we had an early winter storm. But, it you don’t go, you don’t get the shot.
