Flamenco

Capturing street photography in monochrome removes the distraction of color as a compositional element, allowing the viewer to focus on the raw interplay of light, gesture, and form. In black and white, the stories and faces of the street are distilled to their essence—human emotion, fleeting movement, and the subtle truths of everyday life.

Dance Like Nobody’s Watching

Black And White Photography, Martha, Photography

I saw this woman dancing as I was crossing a bridge in Paris.  She was so elegant and graceful swirling and twirling the dress as she moved. What a treat it was just to watch!

The Best Of Monochromia – Susan Licht – Dance

Black And White Photography, Photography

Susan is a talented photographer from Massachusetts and she was recommended to me by Robyn Graham.  After viewing her work I quickly contacted Susan and asked her to join us at Monochromia as a Main Contributor.  I had the pleasure of meeting Susan and her husband at one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Boston’s North End (Little Italy) and also learned that just like myself she loves cannoli’s from Modern pastry shop which is around the block from Salem Street.  I love her work and some of her images impart a magical quality to them as illustrated below.  I can proudly call her my friend also – Joe
