The actor Neil Patrick Harris has so many fans! Here are some of the many who waited recently in line outside Barnes and Noble for him to autograph their copies.

Or, as one adorer stated, “I just want to breathe to breathe the same air as him for 30 seconds!”

Vista Cruising – In memory of Patricia Fogarty

Road cruiser

This car is a reasonably familiar sight to me but always,
it takes me by surprise. A stealth car, it cruises by in
silence as though on a visit from the past and still I am
yet to catch a glimpse of the driver.

Under the glare of the mid morning sun I caught the
cruiser in action, not at all sure of what I might get,
in the full road rays of a quiet New York City moment.

Coney Island sunset sihouettes

The last Sunday in September and here, out at Coney Island, fishermen throw their lines while others sit back and take in the Sunday sun. I took out my iPhone. Autumn seems so far away.

Down by the scrubby sands of the Los Angeles River, exploring life in the urban raw of the LA railway tracks where the hopes of freight train riders seem to ride forever through the past, present and future.

Smoking – In memory of Patricia Fogarty

Hands and cigarette

Innocently striking a light down at Union Square when someone comes along and sticks a camera in her face.

Shot in the full light of day using a Nikon FM2, Kodak 400 TX, it really did feel as though I were shooting in the dark.
