Cold, Cold, Cold

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

Just looking at this image gives me chills. An icy cliff face at Gooseberry Falls State Park on a typical northern Minnesota winter day. Temps in the mid-teens, wind gusts around 30mph, waves crashing on the rocks and snow blowing off the cliff.

Treasure Hunt

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

As I stared at this image I found myself following objects that led to other objects, then up a vertical shape, across a walkway on a bridge, down a ramp and back to where I started.

Fujifilm GFX 100S, Fuji GF 45-100mm, Canal Park, Duluth, MN on the shore of Lake Superior. More of my photography can be seen on my website and my blog.

Wooded Pathway

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

Summer has passed us by, autumn is shedding her brilliant cloak and I wander along a pathway that leads to the coming winter.

The Face of Crazy Horse

Black And White Photography, David Jensen, Photography

On my recent trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota I had the opportunity to go up to the work site at the Crazy Horse Memorial. At this time, the most complete feature of the sculpture is the face. work is on going on the pointing hand and it will be several generations before the memorial is completed. When it is finished, it will stand as the largest sculpture on the planet.
