I weep a little every time I see this classic sticking out from under the trees and bushes. For those that are wondering, it is an MG Magnette.
This last summer I got to see a fully restored one (however not the one in the link) at a country show. The owner told me that in the sixties they were often used as stock cars as they were powerful and sturdy. Many were just raced and wrecked so there aren’t too many in good condition any more.
This is a fairly straight shot with only black and white conversion. It has an almost 3D effect in my opinion.

…they said. However the last time I was here someone had removed the bumper (fender). Go on put your hand over the that part and tell me the shot doesn’t loose anything. So last time I was here I didn’t take any shots of it. As if by magic this year a bumper had reappeared. The magic has returned.

Just a bit of fun: Harry Potter is in good company here. This VW van got a bit close to the Whomping Willow also.

…you could say that is what nature is . In this case it’s doing it’s best at decorating the wreak that has been “parked” here for sometime a clue may be the the silver birches growth rate :0)

This is the same VW that I posted a few weeks back just two years difference. I took this with my 20mm manual focus Nikkor lens on the D800 they make some sweet shots together.

Well I finally got to go back to one of my favourite places to take pictures. It really is a fascinating place to visit. You really get to see how nature is clawing it’s way back from being a dumping ground. Far from being an eyesore this place seem at one with it’s lot. I hope to share some of my shots with you in the next few weeks. In the meantime you can see some shots from my earlier visits here

By the time you read this stateside I’ll be on my way home from the car cemetery in Sweden I hope to get some more shots that I can share with you in the winter months.

…to one of my favourite places. Namely a car cemetery in Sweden. Its just a couple of hours in the car from my home. Myself and a few mates will take the trip next weekend. I hope to share some of the work here v.soon so stay tuned.

My nephews daughter Caitlin joined us for the day in Windsor . I took this whilst we ate lunch.
