My heart beats Street Photography. I’m always looking to capture life as it happens. Like this little girl looking at votive candles in Cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms d’Avignon. Amazed by the magic light, maybe asking herself what wishes have been associated with those candles. A monochrome shot taken today with my iPhone using the dark black&white mode.
More of my photography can be seen on my blog “Streets of Nuremberg“

Oh I do love this image and how captivated she is by the candles

Superb image Marcus 👍🏻 Mobile phones are so handy for unobtrusive shots like yours especially when the shutter sound is turned off.

Thanks, Joe, appreciate your kind words. The iPhone is one of the most underrated black&white cams, especially in street photography.

It’s one of my secret weapons for street photography when I go into Manhattan 😊. One of our original contributors Patti Fogarty used an iPhone regularly for street photography. Unfortunately Patti passed away in London in 2019. When we would get together in Manhattan I would sometimes laugh at her while she stood on the middle of a busy street to get a shot. God I miss her 😥. Patti’s instagram feed is still live if you care to check out some of her street photography at http://www.instagram.com/pattifog or you can see all of her contributions on our previous contributors page.
