This is the love of my life, my wife Theresa. I am posting this image because I hardly ever see her with her hair all messed up like this. As any of you contributors who met her in person already know usually every hair is in place. Terry is at the final stage of growing her long hair out to its natural beautiful shades of gray. She swore off dying her hair a few years ago. I personally think there is something special about a woman who is brave and bold enough to embrace their natural hair color as they age. Terry is 61 years old and I think she is beautiful especially when we are both laughing at me taking a goofy windblown shot like this. I took this image on a beautiful but windy Sunday morning sitting by the Great South Bay in Babylon, NY with my iPhone 12 Pro Max in portrait mode. BTW you will rarely catch a glimpse of Terry without a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in her hand. I love you Terry π
What a beautiful, happy portrait, Joe, and your love for Terry shines through. Going “au naturel” is wonderfully freeing…I never looked back!

Thank you Jane π Terry used to spend so much time on her hair getting it dyed or highlights added. Now the different shades of gray make her hair naturally highlighted. Even Terry is happy with the way her natural gray hair looks (she wasnβt too happy with being patient while it was growing out, LOL).

Itβs very freeing to not be tied to a bottle of hair dye!! Good for her. I have been without hair dye for almost 10 years.

Thank you Carolyn π I’m follicly challenged so I wouldn’t know anything about hair dye but I imagine for someone who has a full head of hair not having to dye it would be freeing.

Great photo and back story, Joe! Good for Theresa for going natural with her hair. She looks beautiful. I stopped coloring mine a few years ago and am so glad I did.

Thank you Cheryl π Terry wanted to start growing her hair out years ago but hated the multi color look (I think she was just impatient). Sheβs really glad she stuck with it because the natural tones of silver and gray combine to look like natural highlights. Iβm glad also π
