Memorial Day in the US

Black And White Photography, Laurie, Mobile Photography

Memorial Day in the United States, always on the last Monday in May, is a day to honor and remember those who died serving in war.  Sometimes Americans forget this and say “Happy Memorial Day”.  Others confuse it for Veterans Day.

We must remember those who died on the battlefield, and remember the suffering of their families.

This image was taken at Radford’s Annual Memorial Day Program.

2018 was our 20th annual program.

  1. Great shot Laurie 🙂 You make a good point. Some Americans think of Memorial Day as a day off from work or the official beginning of summer barbecue season. We must always remember those brave souls who fought and died for the American way of life. Wonderful work.
