I had use of a dark room in high school – and also when I took a photography course many moons ago – I did both black and white and color photography 🙂
So true, Sherry. In that I am a long time tree hugger (literally), I do worry about them. A friend just wrote a provocative and sad article about the death of trees with the rising oceans. Scary
Its amazing that some trees live longer than humans Laurie. Thats probably because they help the earth rather than harm it like humans 🙂 Great shot I love your choice of wide aperture on this image for pinpoint sharpness on the bark fading to defocused branches.
How right you are about humans harming rather than helping the earth. Grrr…
You’ll be happy to know that I DO understand the photography sentence! Finally 🙂
Wow! I have trees around my homestead – that are at least that old – I really gotta pick up the camera again and possibly construct a dark room. 🙂

Great POV! I am a lover of old trees too — they have so much to teach us.
