It was a 7am power walk and I’d decided not to bring my camera because I really needed to burn some calories. I took this quick shot, added a little vignette, and posted it to social media.
Thanks, Joe, for encouraging me to bring it to Monochromia. Thanks, also, for being our amazing monochromatic, charismatic, dynomatic leader!! Emilio, is dynomatic even a word? 🙂
May you all enjoy the blessings of the season!

Wow so gorgeous Laurie, love this!

If dynomatic isn’t a word (and it appears not because my spellchecker is going crazy over it), it should be! Perfect adjectives for our Joe 🙂 Lovely image, Laurie, and so glad you decided to share it!

Beautiful work. I would start of for a power walk with my camera but my pace slows down all the time – there is just too much to photograph.

I agree! It is hard to get a good work out with the camera in hand isn’t it?

I really appreciate the slight lean to the tree, especially during this time of year. Still tall and present but feeling the weight of things. Again, a lovely shaped tree beautifully composed. Looks like you walk among beautiful things.

I love that your words capture what your eye sees. You have such a way with words (and I know I’ve said that before 🙂 )

But Laurie, you did have a camera with you – no apologies necessary. It’s a beautiful shot!!! And well done Joe!

What would we all do without Joe! 🙂

I love how you showcased this funnel- or vase- shaped tree. The fog helps to keep the main focus on that particular tree and shrouds the background trees as if they were on-lookers! Even the pose of her (it must be a female tree!) delicate branches reaching upward and swaying trunk set her as the star of the stage. Lovely photograph, Laurie. A beautiful morning to you, my friend.

You know, Lori, you put into words exactly what I was trying to capture to include the shape of the tree and the others in the background. It was such a lovely walk in the fog

Exquisite image Laurie and it proves the point that it is not the camera its the photographer 🙂 WOW what a compliment, I might have to get a giant “S” tattooed to my chest before we meet so I am not a disappointment 🙂 Great work.
