The Fab four. Ok in Lego but still fun all the same. This was a table top shot of a present my sister sent me for my birthday just before Christmas. I’ve always been a fan and if you are too look for the Yellow Submarine set next time you surf Amazon 😉

Just before the festive season washes over us I’d just like to take the time to say a big thank you to all the contributors, and guest contributors here at Monochromia. I know I’m not too good and answering e-mails and I’m a bit slow at answering comments. However I want you all to know that I appreciate you all and the inspiration you give, and what would Monochromia be without all the readers.

Lastly and big thank you to Joe and his elves who put this site together for us all to enjoy

(Sorry about not being able to meet up in Albany this year Joe.)

My wife received a Willow tree angel from a colleague this year. This shot fits my sentiment. Thanks again one, and all and have a peaceful and happy Christmas.

I still believe that film is the best medium for black and white. Maybe I’m a luddite. Ironically this was shot on my Leica M9P. However I still shoot film, although at the moment I have a big box in my freezer cozying up to some fish and a couple of frozen Haggises (Or should that be Haggai). I keep making plans to have a rummage it’s just I haven’t got around to it this past year. But never fear I will get around to it …some day :0)

This couple caught my eye while I was walking along a beach near my sisters house in England. It’s very British. A quiet Sunday afternoon enjoying peace and watching the boats sailing back and forth.

Walking home across Aker Brygge in Oslo this woman huddles up against the cold.In the last few moments before the sun disappears for the day. It snowed 40 cm’s of snow the day after I took this.
