I don’t know about you, but I often take a picture that I wonder what appealed to me at the time.What caught my eye. I think I’ve seen some sort of shot before and there is this flash of recognition and I try to record the image I have seen in my head.
It maybe the lines in the shot the way the windows and the wooden doors contrast with the brickwork. Or maybe it’s a kind of symmetry my mind eye sees…I’ve no idea what it is this shot it just appeals to me.

As promised last week, here is a picture of the whole church, all wood and almost black with age. This church has survived with the least amount of alteration. Throughout Europe there where some 1000 wooden churches built this is one of the 28 left.

Norway is known for it’s wooden churches. This one in Borgund is no exception It dates back to 1183 but the timber used was felled in 1180. My picture shows just some small details of the roof against a stormy sky. I’ll share some shots going forward of the whole building. Until next time…stay safe.

This is actually close up and personal with a copy of a diving suit designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. Rather apt for these strange days we are living in.
I saw this old oil can in the workshop at Kistefos. I just had to take a shot of it in the sunlight from the window. It was just left there ready to use.

The Twist up close and personal. Even though a lot of this art gallery’s content left me wondering why bother to collect it. The Twist itself is a wonderful building to my mind this was the real work of art I’d come to see.
